Sr. Linux Administrator
Chopper Trading LLC, a privately owned trading company with headquarters in Chicago’s historic Board of Trade building, is seeking an exceptional and highly motivated individual for the position of Senior Linux System Administrator.
Founded in 2002, the company currently consists of over 125 proprietary traders, quants, software engineers and analysts who trade a variety of financial instruments, including equities, interest rate, energy, agricultural products, metal, and other commodities products. Our traders and analysts have the most technologically advanced systems and the latest research tools at their disposal.

We are currently accepting applications for the new role of Senior Linux System Administration in our Chicago office. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, developing, supporting and maintaining Linux infrastructure.
Responsibilities include:
· Designing and deploying Linux and related networking infrastructure.
· Single sign-on between Linux and Windows
· Tuning and debugging performance of the network and attached storage devices
· Implement and set up centralized hardware monitoring.
Qualifications include:
· Must be RHCE (certified engineer)
· 4+ years of strong Linux administration experience
· Experience with Window Server/Exchange 2003 a must
· Experience with network and disk performance tuning
· Bachelor’s or Masters degree a plus
